Mindfulness is a direct extract from the Buddhist tradition - which can be presented as part of that tradition or as a universal and “secular”, scientifically verified and broadly practiced technique to increase our ability to be more focused and open-minded, less reactive and stressed out, and more compassionate to ourselves and others.
These methods and teachings are completely accessible and applicable to contemporary people living in the material world. They are fresh and accessible but they have been handed down intergenerationally, from teacher to student for over 2500 years.
The analogy often used is Grandma’s recipe for bread which is passed down but still needs to be tweaked, adapted and baked fresh every generation.
David Nichtern will be joined by Professor Robert Thurman in a discussion centering around lineage and tradition - and how it can be passed along to the current generation.
We will also be exploring the celebrated Dharma Moon 100 Hour Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training program led by David and the Dharma Moon teaching team - starting on March 21st, 2025 - with info about a special discount offered only to participants of this webinar.
If you can’t join us in real time, we will be sending out a recording of the session the following day with all the info for how to register, get the special discount, and join the several thousand graduates of this excellent training.
See you there!

STUDENT FEEDBACK ON THE MINDFULNESS MEDITATION TEACHER TRAINING
“I came to the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training program because I'm looking to make a significant career shift. I already had a meditation platform (as a side gig) but this certification has given me the inspiration to move that platform to the center of my life so I can make a living teaching meditation, help others learn the practice, and deepen my own practice and path.”
"This training was EVERYTHING! I have been teaching mindfulness meditation for about 5-6 years. My teaching lacked clarity & focus. This program has given me so many gifts. The View. Ground / Path / Fruition. Precision / Gentleness / Letting Go. Practice giving Dharma Talks. An amazing sangha of Dharma Moon teachers & students and the vast but always accessible teachings from David."
“This program was incredible. There are many meditation programs out there and I'm so glad I chose this one. To me it felt grounded and rooted in truth and love. I feel like I was gifted with this knowledge and practice and am excited to go spread it out to others.”
